Hi, I’m Maddie

I’m a firm believer that sweet things make life infinitely better. When it comes to baking, my style is classic with a twist. I want what comes out of your and my kitchen to be downright delicious, with an element you didn’t think about before. Babka but make it sourdough? Sure. Key lime pie with a Teddy Graham crust? Yes, please.

I’ve been fascinated with baking and cooking since I was a toddler, sitting on the kitchen counter ritualistically helping my mom make Saturday morning pancakes and watching my grandpa bake bread during the cool NY Adirondack summers.

I’m a self (and mom)-taught baker, obsessed with understanding the how behind a baked good and working on new techniques and recipes until they’re fool-proof (and sharing these tips with you!).

I’m 26 and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend and — in lieu of a dog — an ever-growing number of plants and a needy sourdough starter.
